Community Housing

CatholicCare Social Services Hunter-Manning is a registered community housing provider with the National Regulatory System. Community housing is affordable rental housing for people on very low to moderate incomes that are generally managed by not for profit community housing organisations. Community housing includes generalist housing for all types of households, specialist housing for specific groups such as “at risk” young people, women and children fleeing domestic and family violence and housing managed by Aboriginal community housing providers for Aboriginal tenants.

The provision of community housing for vulnerable people compliments the range of programs offered by CatholicCare to vulnerable individuals and families including young people leaving care, women and children fleeing domestic and family violence, people facing homelessness, refugee and asylum seekers and families engaged with our targeted child protection early intervention programs. CatholicCare is a full member of the Community Housing Industry Association NSW.
