We currently serve free meals five days a week, Monday to Friday, between noon and 1pm.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, demand for the services offered at the Community Kitchen has soared as more people fall on hard times. In March 2020, the Taree Community Kitchen served an average of 33 meals per day. By mid-2021, our volunteers are serving more than fifty people every day.
We are non-government funded and rely primarily on the generosity of the Taree community, volunteers and donors to provide this invaluable service.
