Leah, is helping raise her two grandchildren and says CatholicCare’s Community Kitchen has become a lifeline for her family.
“Knowing my grandchildren are getting a warm, nutritious meal means everything to me,” Leah said. “The meals are absolutely beautiful. The kids enjoy them, and that’s what keeps bringing me back.”
But for Leah, the kitchen offers more than food.
"It has enabled me to make friends, connections in my community and gives me a reason to get up each day,” she said.
