CatholicCare expertise in the spotlight at Domestic Violence NSW Conference
Nikki Reece, Team Leader for Child & Family Programs at CatholicCare, recently travelled to Sydney to attend Domestic Violence NSW's Connect and Empower conference.
Nikki featured as part of an expert panel discussion titled Grounded in Community: Delivering Domestic and Family Violence Services in Regional NSW. The session brought together regional specialist domestic and family violence (DFV) services to explore the unique strengths, challenges and innovations involved in delivering support across regional NSW, highlighting the importance of place-based responses.
The sold-out conference, hosted by Domestic Violence NSW, attracted hundreds of professionals from across the specialist domestic and family violence sector to connect, share knowledge and strengthen their capacity to support victim-survivors throughout NSW.
Featuring keynote addresses from well-known media personality Stan Grant and former Australian of the Year Rosie Batty OAM, the conference also included a range of panel discussions and workshops designed to further build the capability of the specialist workforce and support best-practice responses to domestic and family violence across the state.
